Jones College business minors and certificates are available for business and non-business majors (limit one business minor per student). Business majors seeking to choose a business minor other than the minor incorporated into their degree program should schedule an appointment with an academic advisor in the Jones College Advising Center, as doing so may add credit hours to their program.
Non-business majors desiring to minor in business may enroll in 3000-4000 level Jones College courses under the following conditions: attain junior standing, achieve an inclusive 2.00 GPA, meet course-specific prerequisites, and obtain permission from the Dean’s office. To get this permission, fill out the Application to take courses in Jones College of Business and return it to the Jones College Advising Center, BAS N216.
Certificate programs are short-term academic programs in which students gain an understanding of an area of interest. These programs are ideal for a non-degree-seeking individual who wants to use the program for career development. Contact the listed program advisor for policies, procedures, and any questions.
